First Databank (FDB) is currently seeking a Clinical Sales Engineer who will be responsible for selling the full complement of FDB solutions to new and existing customers. Includes prospecting for new customers, qualifying opportunities, managing our resources in pursuit of new sales, and closing business.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes clinical expertise and pharmacist work experience to support sales engagements with prospective buyers
  • Work collaboratively with customer-based pharmacy team members, IT analysts, medical staff, nursing, business owners to develop 3 year plan to meet advanced clinical and other healthcare business decision support needs utilizing FDB data and solutions Support complex customer / prospect discussions and demonstrations
  • Identify requirements, current and future, by establishing rapport with buyers in a way that reinforces FDB as a trusted and collaborative partner
  • Identify early trends and new regulatory demands on our customers
  • Enhance business proposal descriptions to be tailored to the solution and buyer
  • Customize and update sales collateral.
  • Cultivate customer case studies and references for ROI measurement
  • Become point person for govt changes that impact our business.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Identify and help to prioritize what Sales needs to other depts, act as a liaison
  • Travel to customer sites as required to support sales events

Required Skills:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • 2+ years of practice experience in a hospital pharmacy, ambulatory pharmacy setting or retail pharmacy setting
  • 2+ years of experience supporting pharmacy applications or experience in a clinical pharmacy informatics
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and facilitate multidisciplinary clinician groups as part of a clinical information system planning and implementation
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and knowledge of customer service principles
  • Interest and aptitude in information technology
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with representatives from multiple departments
  • Setting exceptional aptitude or knowledge may be considered in lieu of experience
  • Consultative

Required Experience:

  • Either a PharmD, MD
  • MBA preferred

A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
